World Energy Congress, being World Energy Council’s global flagship event is the premier international, multi-energy forum for participants to better understand energy issues and solutions from a global perspective. The 23rd World Energy Congress held in Istanbul on October 9-13, 2016. The main theme for congress is “Embracing New Frontiers” promises an innovative concept and content. In 2016, Istanbul hosted the leaders who will build the future of energy from today.

The 23rd World Energy Congress enables dialogue among Energy Ministers and leaders from business, finance and academia around the world who seek options for delivering sustainable energy systems on national, regional and global levels during dedicated sessions including the World Energy Leaders’, the Future Energy Leaders’ and the Energy Trilemma Summits.

The event brought together more than 10.000 world’s top leaders coming from the field of energy industry, government and international organizations, as well as the media, universities and energy industry associations in the unique and wonderful city of Istanbul, as a bridge which connects not only East and West, but also the past and the future.
